Our Principal Counsel, Kingsley Jesuorobo , studied law at the University of Benin, Nigeria and the University of Toronto, Canada. He was called first to Nigerian Bar in 1990. His stint in Canadian legal practice began in April 1994 when he won the case for his first refugee client while he was still a law student at the University of Toronto. Since his call to the Bar of Ontario, Canada in February 1996, he has maintained his record of outstanding accomplishments. Mr. Jesuorobo has handled thousands of cases and trained numerous other lawyers so far. He is a recipient of Planet Africa Television Award for Professional Excellence and other awards. In 1996, he won his first civil (insurance) trial before a jury and got the court to award solicitor and client costs for his client. In one year alone, he won 154 out of 185 cases he argued before Immigration and Refugee Board. He has gained widespread media publicity for ground-breaking successful legal challenges against deportations at the Federal Court. He has also gained invitation as a guest-lecturer on Immigration Law at York University, Canada. Mr. Jesuorobo practices law in the following areas: Immigration and Refugee Law, Civil Litigation, International Investment Law, Insurance and Family Law.
Our Associate Counsel, Ochiemuan Okojie , was called first to Nigerian Bar in 1992 after studying law at Ambrose Alli University, Nigeria. He engaged in general practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for 5 years. He was called to the Bar of Ontario, Canada in 2006 after completing the requisite academic training. Since his call to Ontario Bar, Mr. Okojie’s versatile academic background, skills and experience have enabled him to successfully represent numerous clients at the Federal Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court and the Immigration and Refugee Board. Mr. Okojie practices law in the following areas: Criminal Litigation, Immigration and Refugee Law, Real Estate, Estate Planning & Administration, Corporate/Commercial Law and Family Law.
